Dr. Ndidi Unaka is an MBBS-trained physician and a valued member of the Dr. Smart Team. She currently serves as the inaugural Chief Health Equity Officer (CHEO) for Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and holds the position of Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Unaka previously worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she served as Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Residency Program (2011–2022). During her time there, she led and contributed to numerous equity-focused quality improvement initiatives, including addressing food insecurity among caregivers of hospitalized children insured by Medicaid.
